Emanon Wong Jun Hao graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Liverpool in 2022. He then went on to complete his Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2024, followed by a nine-month pupillage at Messrs Ng Kian Nam & Partners. In the same year, he was also one of the seven distinguished students to be awarded the Master of Criminal Justice (with Distinction) (MCJ) from Universiti Malaya. He was then admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2025.
During his Master’s Degree at Universiti Malaya, he primarily focused on studying the death penalty in Malaysia, analysing its legal frameworks, ethical theories, and the growing calls for abolition. Other than that, he also conducted academic research on child justice system and women justice system. He has experience conducting prison visits and providing legal aid assistance to inmates in handling their criminal appeals. He is also a strong supporter of restorative justice, believing it is the most effective way to reduce recidivism.
While during his pupillage, he gained extensive experience in a diverse array of civil and criminal litigation matters, including defamation, land disputes, society disputes, strata management disputes, employment disputes, debt recovery, Penal Code offences and other related matters, under the mentorship of Mr. Ng Kian Nam. His involvement in managing complex legal cases has significantly honed his expertise, enabling him to cultivate a well-rounded and proficient skill set in legal practice.
He has been retained as a Legal Associate at our firm in Johor Bahru, where he continues to build his legal expertise and serve clients with professionalism and dedication.
