FONG LEE WEE graduated with an LLB (Honours) from University of Malaya in 2004 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2005.
Lee Wee is an experienced litigator and has been undertaking various type of litigation matters, amongst others, civil litigation, medical negligence, insurance, construction, contract disputes, tort, recovery, tenancy, banking, winding-up, bankruptcy and family matters. She has conducted cases for trial at lower and high court and has also appeared and argued in the Court of Appeal. Apart from court matters, she is also familiar with tribunal proceedings (relating to disciplinary matters, and claim/dispute at the Housing Tribunal) and adjudication claim under CIPAA.
Some of her cases reported including Chang Yun Tai & Others v Dataran Mantin Sdn Bhd & Others [2011] 3 MLJ 701 and Ipmuda Bhd & Anor v JW Kawalan Sdn Bhd [2009] MLJU 1845.
In 2019, after 14 years practicing law, Lee Wee decided to cease practice to join Bursa Malaysia Berhad to take up new challenge and to experience as a corporate non-practicing lawyer. After her stint at Bursa Malaysia Berhad, she took up roles as in-house legal manager with reputable developer and retail companies respectively. The experience as non-practicing lawyer in in-house role has allowed Lee Wee to view things from client’s perspective and to be able to understand corporate and commercial needs.
In 2025, Lee Wee decided to return to practice by joining Ng Kian Nam & Partners as Senior Associate, Litigation.
